Nadir

Over 99% of the living species from the time earth was made are extinct! So what’s next! I think we will evolve.

I received a video depicting how mobility has intruded into our day to day life and how it’s the cause for different effects. Major effect being of a kind of alienation from our community interactions between our peers, families etc. We seem to communicate more by type & text and pictures & video. We tend to do this even if we are sitting next to each other. The missing link may be its less time being spent in person with the individual or the group. This being the case…..it is interesting when we try and put on the lens of our profound intellect and start deciding whether this behaviour is apt or inapt. Or take the other case where we may be indifferent to this scenario as well.
This scenario kept on building in my mind which I am trying to capture as below.
So let’s imagine time far far ago…..when we were the primates who had been just converted to Human Beings…
What must have happened…. How was our day to day life… Could it be something like this….  Sure they didn’t have to work or earn or cook or play etc…..nothing had been invented… they could I think eat, sleep, drink, do whatever they do wherever they stood or were physically present… It’s like “Main Jahaan Khadaa hota huun whain se Duniyaa shuruu hoti hain”
Hungry Kyaa- Pluck a fruit, veggie etc….
Sleepy Kyaa- Lie on the stone or the ground…
Etc etc…
So most of the time they spent with themselves trying to talk, invent a language, learn to use the limbs… So I think each day they must learning pretty important stuff… like how to use your thumb, winking etc
But I think during this phase these guys must be spending around 99.999% time within their Group..robust communication..each second of life there is personal attention and feedbacks and helping hands etc…
Let’s move to few more decades of evolution…
Our Primates now they have evolved and grown in size and numbers….
Now they have learnt to cultivate….hunt….they still have abundant resources….their time has been divided now…
So naturally these guys start spending lesser time within their group…..let’s take it to be around 80.888%
Further moving decades into Human timeline…We are better than what the primates must have thought or imagined… we have come a long way… we have spread our clout far and wide on land and sea.
We are now divided in cohesive and rebellious groups…one thing seems to be missing…we seem to be afraid of no one expect maybe that which cannot be controlled till it can be controlled…..like we were afraid of fire till learnt to control fire….. As the groups became larger there seemed to be issues in managing these groups… So the wise and old people of each of these groups thought long and hard….then they made some guidelines… when they went with these guidelines to the larger group it seems that these larger groups were not convinced… they wise and old people went back and postulated…they came up with an idea….they said these guidelines fell from the sky…came from the river etc … they started something which would I think eventually lead to the formation of Gods and God’s men…. Let’s leave it at that.
What I am interested in imagining is how were our time spent … I think we were spending lesser time as time was now more and more divided….there were more stuff to do… capture lands.. fight for land and resources and women and men… prove I/we are better than you…… so now the time spent has come down to 70.777%
So let’s move fast forward to our great grandparent’s and grandparent’s times….
We say they had pretty laid back life ….they used to work in smaller areas…nearby areas initially… slowly started moving far-off in search of what we call livelihood…  Still enough time they used to spend with their groups… around 60.666%
So when they talk to us… they compare and tell us that, we use to spend so much time with each other and now look at you… we used to go to the village fair… Diwali/ Christmas etc …. used to be so much work.. fun and frolic.
Now let us come to present day… we are now mobile and when we look back we go back to our memories… and say that wow those were the days….
Now we are at a point that our communication with our peers and families is much informal and over phones etc… many of us block time or has tried to make it a habit for the same…. How much time does an average person really spend time in comparison to the primate… 50.555% or lesser…. Where is this going to go from here…..
The coming tomorrows there is going to be lesser personal touch…..whatever we do… we have come from 99.999% to 80.888% to 70….. and this is a decreasing trend…. Eventually it may be come zero…. We may not talk at all….. We may have a chip or bio-chem-mechanical thing in our body which would communicate…. Text, Visuals…videos…. Without actually speaking….
We will then say, those were the wonderful days when we used to chat over Whatsapp…. Share many things over facebook…  We may chide our kids or kid’s kids…saying that nowadays you guys are going on trip or climbing a hill or going on a sea cruise virually…but those were beautiful days when we had a group were we planned trips and meetings and actually did it....

Over 99% of the living species from the time earth was made are extinct! So what’s next! I think we will evolve.
And evolution will peak once the personal touch comes to 0.000% That will be my friends the Nadir of the current evolution.

Then the meek will inherit the earth!!

Welcome to my land of fantasy….. J
